Things Jehosphaphat did right:

  1. He acknowledged the problem & the source.

  2. He acknowledged his own limitations.

  3. He obeyed and got to work.

  4. He sang.

Things he did wrong:

  1. He made compromises & didn't fully surrender.

Job 2:10, “But Job replied, “You talk like a foolish woman. Should we accept only good things from the hand of God and never anything bad?” So in all this, Job said nothing wrong.”

Worship is often just declaring WHO God is!

Provider, Deliverer, Comforter, Healer, The Way, The Truth, The Light, The Life

  1. Jehovah Jireh - The Lord will provide

  2. Jehovah Nissi- The Lord is our banner (deliverer)

  3. Jehovah Shalom - The Lord sends peace (comfort)

  4. Jehovah Rapha - The God who heals

  5. Jehovah Ra’ah - The Lord is the Way, my shepherd

  6. Jehovah Tsidkenu (Sid-ken-ew)- The Lord is our righteousness

  7. Jehovah Shammah - The Lord is our light, ever present

In our brokenness--he is strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-11 New Living Translation (NLT), “Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

Job said, “I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be naked when I leave. The LORD gave me what I had, and the LORD has taken it away. PRAISE THE NAME OF THE LORD!”

2 corinthians 4:8-9, “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”
