Believers Have a Bubble Problem

  • It’s not about the crowd, it’s about the ONE.

  • Jesus taught his followers to be DIFFERENT!

  • “There’s no growth in the comfort zone, and no comfort in the growth zone!”

    • Get comfortable in the growth zone…that’s following Jesus!

  • We gotta get better at learning names! Getting to know PEOPLE.

  • State of the American Church:

    • 80% stalled or in decline

    • 16% growth by addition

    • 4% growth by multiplication

  • What we need is good neighbor-loving-habits in everyday life.  We need to build trust outside these walls, in order to bring them in.

Ephesians 2:10: “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

We are grace built people

(so we...) grace bomb people

  • A Grace Bomb is one fun way to walk in good works. Leveraging the element of surprise and loving someone unexpectedly and implicating Jesus as the source of your kindness is Grace Bombing someone.

  • Random acts of kindness are not enough…we have to be able to link them back to Jesus, because HE IS who is motivating us to do these things, and serve our fellow man!

  • God’s love language is Obedience - and he calls us to this life of love over and over again.“If you love me, obey my commandments!” John 14:15

  • 2 Corinthians 9:8, “And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 9 As the Scriptures say,

“They share freely and give generously to the poor.

Their good deeds will be remembered forever.”

  • Colossians 1:10, “Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.

  • Titus 2:14, “14 He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.

  • Hebrews 13:16, “16 And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.

  • 1 Peter 2:12, “12 Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world.

Matthew 5:14-16: “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works, and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
