John 2:1-11
Drunkenness Passages:
Proverbs 20:1 - Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise.
Ephesians 5:18 - And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit.
Romans 13:13 - Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy.
Galatians 5:21 - Envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
What did Mary do here, that we can learn from?
She presented her need to Jesus.
She put ALL her hope in Him.
Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
He responded with LOVE.
Matthew 4:23 “Jesus traveled throughout the region of Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness.”
John 2:23 “Because of the miraculous signs Jesus did in Jerusalem at the Passover celebration, many began to trust in him.”
