Identify where you’re at the on FV Pathway, and assess how you might be able to grow.
Disciplemakers are actively looking to learn and grow in maturity.
2 Peter 3:17-18
”So be on guard; then you will not be carried away by the errors of these wicked people and lose your own secure footing. 18 Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
Tell an unbeliever WHY you believe in Jesus.
Disciplemakers are eager to talk about their faith and see new people come to know Jesus.
-Make sure you do this in love, not in judgement or pride.
-It may not be the person you first expect it to be…in fact, if you’ve tried before with someone, maybe try someone else this time.
1 Peter 3:15
”Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.”
Sit with someone in grief or who is struggling.
Disciplemakers share in others’ struggles.
-Try to be more in tune with others’ emotions, and notice when people are struggling with something difficult.
-When you notice, just be there for them. Love them genuinely. Try to do more listening, than talking. Pray with them, if you can.
”Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep.”
Study Matthew 9:9-13.
Disciplemakers study their teacher’s example and apply it in their own lives.
-What do you think Jesus meant in vs. 12-13?
-How can you follow Jesus’ example?
-If you had to teach someone this passage, how would you do it?
”For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”
