Prov. 3:5-6. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.”
Psalm 119:105, “Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.”
Reasons people stray form the path:
We’re not IN the Word. How can the Word keep us straight, when we’re not IN it? We think one time a week at church is enough..but that’s like saying one meal is enough for the week. Someone else cooked it…and I’m too lazy to cook for myself, so I’ll just eat once a week when Candace cooks it…
We’re arrogant. We believe we know better than the Word. Or we believe we don’t need other people. That’s a big one.
We don’t repent quickly enough. There is SO much to be said about checking yourself QUICKLY. Stop making excuses and digging in when you
We don’t hold ourselves accountable. We don’t build systems into our lives to keep us straight. We’re not reading our Bibles. We’re not engaged in SOUL friendship, we’re not honest with anyone. We put ourselves in situations where we’re likely to sin…
You’re one decision away from a completely different life.
Exodus- AFTER the Red Sea…so the 10 plagues and the whole walking on dry ground through the Red Sea thing wasn’t enough…
