DREAM CENTER - L.A. - SEPTEMBER 21-26
- Fundraising Goal: $1600 (covers room & board, airfare, van rental)
- You may want to bring some additional funds along for extra meals.
- Primarily a SERVICE trip, although there are some outreach and evangelism elements
- Dorm-style housing
- Anyone under the age of 15 not allowed unless with a parent
- Donations we can take: Shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, toilet paper, feminine products, male hygienics, diapers, baby wipes, baby products, socks, underwear, shoes, clothing, hair brushes, fans, blankets, sleeping bags.
- Must register by April 1st, there will be an application form with a $100 deposit. You will not be considered GOING, until that is submitted.

- Payment schedule:
- $400 due May 1st
- +$600 due July 1st (all nonrefundable after this point)

What does the housing look like at the Dream Center?
Short Term Missions housing is dorm-style accommodations. There are between four and eight beds in each STM room (bunk-beds). Each bed has a pillow and one bundle with a fitted sheet, light blanket, pillow case, towel, washcloth per person for the entire trip. If preferred, STM participants can bring additional pillows, blankets or towels.
Community showers and restrooms are available on each floor. There is a STM Lounge for all teams to utilize which has tables and chairs, a full size refrigerator, microwave, and a coffee pot and cubbies to store dry goods.
Team Rules
1. You will obey/respect your team leaders.
2. You will be on time.
3. You will attend everything.
4. You will go above and beyond, represent the host ministry WELL.
5. You will not complain. (This is not vacation)
Guiding Trip Principles:
1. Follow the leader. Stick together as a team. (No wandering off)
2. Put on joy. Maintain a good attitude. Work as unto the Lord. Eat what's put before with thanksgiving!
3. Sleep is sacred on a mission trip. (Help protect others' sleep.)
4. Servant leadership. No place for bossiness, serve one another. Look out for one another.
Qualifications
1. Willing to learn and be stretched.
2. Willing to fast and pray.
3. Willing and ready to share the Gospel with strangers.
4. Willing to work hard and sleep little.
5. Willing to be drama-free and full of faith!
We suggest all individuals bring:
- Personal hygiene items. (maybe a shower caddy too)
- Daily clothing (including closed toed shoes easy to walk in).
- Bible, pen and notebook.
- Personal spending money (for DC t-shirts or souvenirs)
- Personal belongings such as phone chargers and a reusable water bottle.
- If preferred, team members can bring additional blankets, pillows, or towels.
- A light jacket (it's chilly in the mornings and evenings in LA, and HOT mid-day)
- Candace's suggestions from experience:
- a small, battery powered fan (a stroller fan works perfectly for the bunk beds!)
- a (camping) mirror for getting ready in the morning
- an extension cord for charging things
- flip flops to walk to the shower in
- a hat/sunscreen for long days in the sun!
