FEBRUARY 9

  • Read Luke 18:1-8 (Vs. 8, “Will He find this kind of PERSISTENT faith on the earth?”)

  • What do you think it means to be persistent in prayer?

  • Does the widow demonstrate “faith”? How? What does this parable tell us about faith?

  • Have you ever faced a situation where you thought about giving up praying? Explain. Did you give up?

  • This week, choose a subject, a time, a place, and pray consistently. Let’s see what God does when we’re persistent!

FEBRUARY 16

  • How would you define prayer to someone who’s never done it before?

  • LaTina asked, “how can a person learn how to prevail in prayer?” What were some of the answers? As a group, collect about 5 answers before moving on.

  • Read Luke 11:1-4. What does this passage teach us about how to pray?

  • Is there a way to pray badly? What would that mean?

  • How do you usually address God? What words would you use to describe Him?

  • This week, ask God to teach you how to pray even better! Write down you feel like He’s saying.

FEBRUARY 23

  • Read Philippians 4:6-7. Which part of these verses do you know you immediately need to implement in your own life?

  • How do you think you would begin to stop worrying about everything?

  • Do you regularly thank God for all He has done? What are you most grateful for today?

  • Do you know what it means to experience the peace of God that exceeds anything we can understand? How would you explain it to someone who never has?

  • What do you think it means that “His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus”?

  • This week: put this into practice. Try NOT worrying, and instead praying about everything!
